Ahhh, what a beautiful day in Boston yesterday and I was fortunate to have had a show in the sunshine. Government Center was my home for a few hours on Wednesday, and like each show before, I continue to meet and mingle with some curious and wonderful people.
For the second time in my jewelry-making life, a little baby of gemstones and gold that I once created and nurtured in my hands found its way back to me and took me by surprise. The wonderful woman wearing it wandered up to my booth and commented on the similarity of my pieces to some she had recently purchased in a retail shop. When I glanced at her sparkly necklace, I realized why my pieces looked so familiar to her - it was my piece upon her neck and she had in fact purchased a few pieces of mine at Nomad! How cool. Now I've encountered my babies twice on their own in the real world; on an airplane when the gal was walking past me to her seat, and now at the market, where a lady with a love for jewelry was coming back for more without even realizing it.
The ins and outs of our paths continue to inspire me and the ways that we intersect (or not) make me feel so fortunate for this moment, this place, and these people around me. Have you told the people at your intersection how thankful you are to share this moment and place with them?
